The signs are up. 3 hours free then £1 per hour upto two more hours. All the ANPR cameras are up so there is no escaping Big Brother but at least you can pay by iPhone App:
The car park by the smaller shops is now getting sandy coloured tarmac. I also notice two wooden 'sheds' with roller shutters so I assume drinks/food outlets. Overall, looking good and one month to go tomorrow, until opening!!!!
This is my blog on the progress of the new Whiteley Shopping Centre, due to open Spring 2013

One Month to Go!!!!
It's a hive of activity. Lots of contractors now putting all their efforts into completion - even a chap painting lamposts tonight at 7pm. I think the photos speak for themselves:

Last day of March
Here are the latest photos. The car parks are nearly there and I see shop fittings being taken in to M&S plus we can see driving by that Frankie and Benny's looks like they are fitting out in a nice red colour. It's all getting very very exciting:
First photo above is M&S and the outside seating area. The road has just been resurfaced too.
The second and third photos show the smaller private shops and the car parking area adjacent to the sports centre. Trees planted, air con in etc. All looking top notch.

It's March - time flies
Here are the latest photos. Flagstones are being laid and I have seen plenty of trenchwork for cables, CCTV etc. There's still a way to go but it is all looking very good indeed. The first picture shows the smaller non branded stores and the second shows M&S (our favourite) again.

Open in May!!!!!
I have read that the shops will be open on 23rd May. The builders are cracking on with the car parks and it has been really cold so go to feel sorry for them. Here are some pictures of the latest progress firstly of M&S and Next and then the car parks by Tesco:
